Back in the 1980's, I lost my M1 Carbine hammer spring guide in my garage. Haven't found it yet but I still keep an eye out for it.

Buckmark firing pin retainer clip, across the kitchen floor. Swept for 10 minutes and flashlighted to the pile. Kitchen has never been so clean and buckmark back together again.

I launched a Kimber 1911 recoil spring plug (SS) about 15 years ago.

Found it last year in a box of nickel plated 10mm brass. Damn near identical.

In 1975 I shot up a bunch of WWll 30-06 still packed in the original boxes, my Father brought home from the PI. Who would have thought that it would have value in later years. I did save the boxes, but the contents is history lost. Good Luck on finding your lost part.

I shot the cylinder release plunger and spring form my 686 in my garage not long ago. Still have not found it.

There is a front site post for a Browning BDM somewhere out at Octillo. It flew off and hit me in the chest, never to be seen.

A big magnet will find that pin.

Or he can wait until it rusts orange and leaves a spot on the floor, making it easy to see. The plus factor here is that it will color coordinate with the magazine.

I can top it. Shot an M1 carbine slide spring guide rod thru 1 piece of a double pane window when doing a tear down. Good news was it was easy to find, by my wife.��
