I generally stay away from Ammo Bros. They aren't customer oriented.

Ive never been in their stores but two years ago my dad wanted a Sig 220 SAO. This was his first gun purchase ever and he knew nothing about guns except the notes I had given him.

DIckbags in the store refuse to order him one (even though it was on roster) and instead convince him to buy a 220 Combat. Fine gun but NOT what he wanted. It was enough of a battle getting my dad (who only cares about one thing in life- GOLF) to try and join us in the gun world. He wasn't interested in exchanging or trading for the 220 SAO. His 220 Combat has yet to be fired to this day.

Whoever helped my dad helped Ammo Bros with a one day sale but permanently lost my business for life. And I buy a lot more guns and accessories than my dad ever would have. Just in the last week I bought 2 BCM uppers, 4 PSA complete lowers and 3k rounds of 545x39. And Im in the market for at least two slings, another IFAK, flashlights and an AR chest rig (been an AK guy for years, barely getting serious about ARs)...etc. I dont know where Ill get all the other stuff but what I can tell you is where I wont...

I've ordered online from them a few times where I chose local pickup. Their system is a little antiquated, you have to specify which location for pickup in the comment section. The down time is usually 1-2 days (confirmation email). A few of the younger guys there are usually brash and only know about about one or two platforms, which I think is why they gear customers to certain/specific products. I rarely go there but when I do I usually deal with the smiths, manager, or older guys.

My general rule is do my research on my own. I don't go in to stores trying to have someone sell me something, I'm just there to pick up what I chose for myself.

I bought my benelli m4 online at ammobros, for a really good deal (1600). I didn't see any odd behavior in the Santa Ana store, or anything to suggest they are better/worse than turners. If your item is in stock, you can DROS it almost immediately as they have the serial number before the item arrives, although I would suggest always inspecting the item before dros.

Note; the prices you see in their "weekly store ad" or what you might see in the "online store ad" is most often not honored by one or the other. Such as, if you see something on sale online and go to their store, they will tell you that price was only if purchased through the online store, even if they have it in stock at the physical store. Or something on sale in the weekly store ad, will not be that price if ordered online.

I get the impression their "online store" is not really them, that they have merely co-opted with some other distributor for volume and they get a small % for representing a physical brick-and-mortar presence for the internet only entity.

So be careful about placing your order and expecting it from one or the other source.

Nothing wrong with Ammo Brothers. Or even Turners.

They are OK. I saw a pistol on line that I had never handled and I wanted to see it before I bought it. I went and looked and I liked it and started to buy it. The store price was higher then the on line price. My first thought was "what a rip off". So I told them what I thought, and said I would go somewhere else (just the principal, don't like to be jerked around). They dropped the price, but then wanted to charge me for a lock, even though there was a factory supplied lock. I told them that I had bought a same brand, different model, pistol a few months before, and didn't need a additional lock, and threatened to leave. I thought they were BSing me, but it turns out that some Kahr pistols do not have a Ca approved lock. They were right. They did throw in the lock for free and I bought the pistol.
I have also done ppt's there also without any problems.
There were a few problems/misunderstandings, but they did work with me to complete the sale.
                I would go back.

Oceanbob is correct, BUT for reasons stated above, I shop at Riflegear.

I've experienced horrible customer service from ammo bros Ontario. I recommend you avoid that location if you can.

I've done several ppts and one new purchase at Ammo Bros. Always courteous and professional.

I have bought quite a few firearms from them at their Cerritos store, and done several PPT's there as well. So far, my experiences have all been positive. I've recently moved out to the IE and have been to their Riverside store to do a PPT and to pick up some supplies and spare mags; had a positive experience there too.

                            Ammo Bros

                            Integrity and honesty count.

Ammo Bros has a policy of intentionally lying to customers. I don't get 'butthurt" when I'm lied to. I get angry.

IMO, they can retask their fresh off the boat cheapy chinese locks as self installed suppositories.

Thanks guys. I've been in there and the guys were kind of dicks but I never bought anything anyways. The Kimber I'm looking for is in stock online. Believe me I checked riflegear turners.
