    NRA Member differences.

Regular member and associate member and life member I understand.

But, while looking around on their website, I can't find a definition of:

    Benefactor.

    Patron.

    Endowment.

    Eh?

They're different levels of NRA membership beyond the initial basic lifetime membership level. Please see here for the explanation:

The National Rifle Association is America's longest-standing civil rights organization. Together with our more than five million members, we're proud defenders of history's patriots and diligent protectors of the Second Amendment.
"Can our form of government, our system of justice, survive if one can be denied a freedom because he might abuse it?" --Harlon Carter
"A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." --Gerald Ford
"Government is essentially the negation of liberty." --Ludwig von Mises
"You cannot invade mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass." --Admiral Yamamoto

Not much diffrence, just how much money you give. I gave an extra $200 last year and the NRA bumped me up to Benefactor.

So you were already giving $4800? Is that right?

Not really. The NRA has promotions to upgrade memberships for significantly less cost than as stated in the link. You can send them the full amount if you want. All donations are accepted!!

Let me think about it uh, no!

I already have one favorite cause that has to come first (family), then I look for where else to give money. NRA will get their fair share. Don't think it will be $5K though... at least not in '09

Also... ONCE you become a Life member, you'll be able to gift LEGACY Life memberships to your kids, nieces/nephews, etc. Was $300 when I did it for my daughter and god-children.
