A total waste of 36 bucks for the wife and I. Jewelry, chinese knives, jerky and P-mags. Was looking for a nice bolt action for her to hunt deer and antelope with but found nothing. Crossroads used to be a decent show. We did find a Rem 600 in 6mm but it was way too much for the shape it was in.

I've gone every time for the last 2 years. It's pretty much the same everytime. I usually get ammo at Miwall, they have decent deals on powder too.
This time I found a really nice, mint, Mauser HSc with 2 mags and a holster for a really fair price. First time I bought a gun at a gunshow.
Yes, there are people selling jerky and chinese junk. So what, get over it.Last edited by Tere_Hanges; 04-03-2016, 3:09 PM.CRPA and NRA member.

I didnt even see one SKS at the show? I did see one Russian M44 dated 1944 for $395.00 , that the seller refinished and had a dark glossy look and black painted metal [not blued] I saw a Russian SVT40 but forgot to check the price.
several M1 carbines, several Italian Carcanos, a few M1 Garands, a few M1A's, and lots and lots of "tacticool" AR15 type barrels, uppers, stocks, parts, etc, lots of aftermarket magazines for sale, a seller had M1911A1 GI mags for $80 and up, a few two tone M1911 lanyard loop magazines for $350 each.
there was guy giving out tiny beef jerky samples the size of a pea, not even enough to taste, if your going to give people samples, at least give them a piece big enough to taste like a inch or two, not pea sized.
not much militaria, just a few bayonets, one repro German helmet.
lots of cheap knives, they did have a few hand made Damascus knives from Pakistan.
I did find some ammo I was looking for at a reasonable price.Comment

It was smaller than last time I went in 2013, I was able to get some Hornady 75 grain 5.56 $17.95 a box. Some other ammo prices were pmc x-tac 55 grain 5.56 $6.99, cci blazer 9mm $10.95 a box, pmc .308 $16.95. Palmetto state armory complete AR15 $595, I saw a couple FAL and G3/HK91 parts kits. The SVT-40 was nice I think it may have been $1400, the booth with a bunch of M1 garand's and M1 carbines didn't list the prices. I picked up some picatinny rail covers $5 each, I planned to get a soft rifle case but spent more on ammo than expected so I didn't get a case. The big table with magazines had 10 round 1911 mags $24, 7 round colt 1911 mags $19, the metal 10 round AR mags $13 each and maybe $15-17 for hexmags, I can't remember the M1A mag prices. I saw one jerky booth must be an inside jokeComment

It was a big rip off! To the guy selling AR parts like used buttstock kits for $105 and used Garand slings that were not that green because of dusty and dirty for $25, you are disgrace and PRICE GOUGER!!! RIP OFF artist, big joke, how dare you try and mark up your prices as to rub it in our faces, everything was super expensive than stuff online, most of the vendors charge $100 to $200 more than online for complete upper assemblies, etc, or AR lower parts kits for $85 when you can buy them online for like $50 shipping included!!!!
I am sooooo sick of it, I am gonna report you and you will be shut down for the next show......banned from entering if you try and blatantly rip off people again!!!!
STOP PRICE GOUGING your fellow CA gun owners!!!! ENOUGH already, seriously ENOUGH!!!
RIP OFF JERKS!!!
I am gonna say something if I see you at next Gun show, I will get in your face, call you out for ripping people off, I don't care anymore and you will hear it from me and not get away with it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by ESPONDA; 04-04-2016, 8:01 AM....it's for the kids...Comment

Sounds like we need another thread about "high" prices in the For Sale forum here.

You can always try the Big Reno Show which is this weekend, Friday to Sunday. It's huge although beef jerky is hard to find due to so many people selling guns, ammo, accessories, etc.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment

This is the only one I go to anymore. And if the "Safety For All" initiative passes, you can scratch off buying any ammo there, too.

Crossroads was so small last year here in Del Mar they discussed having fewer of them. Then San Bernadino happend and the crowds returned.
I still think about those huge shows at Pomona Fairgrounds back in the 1990's. More guns than I ever saw in my life and no jerky.Comment
