Boyds Gun Stocks

Boyds will not sell an AR15 stock to Calif. I just tried to order one. When I asked why not, this is their response:

Hello,
Our legal team has made the decision that whenever there is a restriction ANYWHERE in a state for any type of firearm, we do not ship any stocks designed for that firearm to any location in that state.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If you would like to order a stock from us, it will have to be shipped to a different state.
Thank you for your business


Does anybody else besides me think this is BS?

Same here I had to outsource a 10/22 thumbhole stock because they would not ship it to california. Its rimfire come on..

You can either find a different vendor or have the stock shipped to someone out of state and then they mail it to you.

Ask them if they are unaware that the stock you wish to order will also fit an M4 or an M-16 and those are highly restriced Federally. So they shouldn't sell them in any state.

I will boycott them, and any other dumb *** company who doesn't support the gun owners of California. The problem with California is not the gun owners, it's all the others.

I wanted to get a laminated wooden stock and pistol grip. I thought it would be nice to make my next AR a little different from the previous ones. Theirs looked pretty good.

Ironically, this was going to be a rimfire AR.

Yeah, screw Boyds. Ironwood stuff is top notch. This is my partner's AR-15 with walnut furniture and I recently put walnut on one of my Saigas:



If you are going to go wood furniture on an AR, may as well go with walnut instead of plywood. The Ironwood parts come unfinished.
