I personally use M-Pro 7 to lube my guns. But hypothetically, let's say in the event that you run out of gun oil (say, SHTF), and you really needed to lube your gun up because it's too dry to function, which household item could temporarily make your gun function, without much damage to the internals? Olive oil? Canola oil? WD-40? Which would you use?

I would not use any kind of vegetable oils on a gun - ever.
(That includes Frog Lube!!!)

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement? -

in a SHTF situation, there will be a lot of cars full of motor oil to lube up your guns.
try to find the nicer looking ones (doesn't mean luxury, just overall condition) which should indicate that the owner has kept to a oil change interval and you might score fresher oil than black sludge that would probably gum up your gun.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace...
