    Aimpoint QRP2 Mount Issue

I recently purchased an Aimpoint PRO for my AR. I tightened the mount 3 clicks as advised on the manual. Everything was nice and tight. Took it to the range on Monday and after only 60-100 rounds, the knob was pretty loose and I had to re-tighten it when I got home. I looked online and this seems to be a pretty common problem, but no one seems to mention a fix for it. Aside for the one issue, I really like the mount the way it is and would rather fix it than spend $75-100 on a LaRue, Bobro, etc mount. Have anyone of you had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it?

    Thanks in advanced.

I turn mine more than three clicks and I usually don't shoot more than 60 rounds because I have other guns i brought to shoot.
Still on tight even after multiple trips to the range.

I've got CompM4's on 2 of my ARs. Never had to retighten them. Both have the stock QRP2 mount. The couple times I've removed them, I don't think I clicked more than once.
Both were also purchased used. Maybe it just needs to break in a bit?

Thanks for the reply. I tightened it again and will be taking it to the range again soon and see how it holds up.

Same here only I give it a nice twist after the first click. It's been rock solid.

Which version does the PRO come with? My CompM4 came with the Gen2.

Mine came with Gen 2. They call it QRP2. Like I said in my original posting, it's not an isolated case. I've seen a few threads on the issue on different forums online.

Did you guys remove the 4 screws holding the aimpoint in place and put some blue loctite on them?

Try pushing down on the knob and tightening at the same time.
