If I add a pistol grip to an sks would that necessitate a "bullet button"? Besides it still has the original wood furniture and 10rd fixed mag. How would that work lol

Under CA laws...
A pistol grip is a restricted feature on a semi-auto centerfire rifle that accepts detachable magazine.
Therefore...
As long as the semi-auto centerfire rifle has a fixed magazine, then it can legally have a pistol grip.
Under Federal laws...
Imported semi-auto centerfire rifles can not have non-sporting features.
A pistol grip is a non-sporting feature.
Therefore...
As long as enough foreign made parts are replaced with USA made parts, it would be legal to install a pistol grip.
Conclusion...
After the firearm is modified so that it complies with the Federal 922r parts compliance, it would be legal to install a pistol grip to an imported semi-auto centerfire rifle with a fixed 10 round magazine.sigpic
