    Quick aimpoint PRO question

Got my Aimpoint PRO today and I noticed it didn't come with the 3 way rubber strap that holds the turret caps and battery cap. Is this a newer design? Since I bought it off eBay I want to make sure I didn't get a fake.

Edit: Scratch that. Called Aimpoint and verified serial number and asked about the straps. They said they dropped the strap and went with individual retaining straps.

    Thx
    Thank you

I also had the elzetta light mount. Loved it. How do you like yours?

Been thinking of going a different way with my new build.

I like it so far. For the price, you can't beat it. I have a sling coming in through and I have to sit if the sling will get in the way of the tail switch.

I had one that I bought new early last year (since replaced with a Micro T2) - the rubber straps are an accessory you have to purchase separately.

IMO, the new style is easier to use and look cleaner/better. The old one piece rubber retaining system is hard to screw on/off.

Took it out to the range today. I'm really impressed with it. The mount on the other hand sucks. I shot maybe 100 rounds, when I came back home I had to retighten the knob on the QRP2 mount because it got loose. I'm gonna have to swap out mounts ASAP.
