I have 2 uberti colt clones and am getting a third pretty soon.
Unfortunately (for me) I am a large anti-fan of the CCH finish. I want the frames blued...
So my question is (I have searched various threads and refinishing websites and have yet to find a conclusive answer to my apparently specific request)
IS IT POSSIBLE to remove the CCH finish on revolver frames in order to have said part(s) refinished in the factory blue finish?
I'm familiar with a few finishing processes, but am not educated enough in the field to know if it can be done or how difficult it is.
I'm sure it'll probably be around a couple hundred dollars per revolver... From the different rates I've seen for professional refinishing establishments. But if anyone knows of a place with great rates and work (or does it themselves) can refer me to the website.
Thanks in advance!
