What fb should be left for a trade like this?

Did a trade today. It's supposed to include 200 round ammo. They are loose ammo so I did not count. Though I felt the number might not be right after a quick glance, since I trusted him like trusting most fellow calguners, I did not count. When I get home,I found out it is 90! I texted the guy. My intention was to let him know he made a mistake but I will let it go. But his first response was that I got a better trade value and he is not going to thinking of losing money out of it. No apologies at all. Isn't it ridiculous? He could tell me it is only 90 rd ammo or even no ammo involved in the trade, or asked for discount when meeting (though I dislike people discussing price after they already agreed on a deal before meeting and I've never done that when buying.), but he simply chose to lie. I would not feel it is such a big deal (though the value of those ammo is close to 8% of the trade) if he said sorry first.

So what would you do if dealt with somebody like this dude?

Negative feedback and state count was not correct and seller refused to honor the deal. You always take a chance so you got off cheap.

Yeah, OP, you'd be in the right for negative feedback at least. Definitely doesn't sound like someone I'd ever want to deal with ever again.

Neutral at best. I'd go negative since he's being a turd.

Okay, I will 2nd this. The "turd factor" - you are fired. Lolz. (Trump reference)

I have been on the other end of this kind of deal, I told a guy I "might" have some replacement parts for a handgun that I sold, days after he said he would take it.

I found them and the guy who sold them to me ripped me off. Cost me $80 to get the buyer to shut up, since I had to buy new ones.

So sellers can be jackasses and buyers can be jackasses.

He told me that he just did a quick glance and ball packed the number and he only claimed it is close to 200 rounds in his ad. Actually, I could take it as an unintentional mistake, but I think at least he owes me an apology.

Did I mention that he asked me to arrive early, I sent him msg and called him when I was 1 hour and 20 minutes out, I actually arrived 10 minutes before the agreed time and waited almost 30 minutes? Then I realized that he just could not arrive at the time he asked me to because he would be still working at the time. The reason he asked me to arrive early was simply he was afraid that I would be late.

I gave people discount on already agreed price before when dealing on Craigslist simply because the buyers begged. I let sellers keep the change ($10 or more) simply because they said they did not have small bills. As I told this guy, I could be happy to take 90 rounds home if he told me so when meeting. But why lied to me and still made it like I taking the advantage? I just want people to understand being nice does not mean soft.

Now I am seriously considering the possibility of being lied about the condition of the gun I got from this trade.

And you are asking about a negative rating? Give it.

No you don't, my point was you have to be somewhat flexible. In your case, I believe you were taken advantage of. I have had many deals, and only one was a debacle. And I let it happen.

Negative for liars and cheaters. He clearly misrepresented and cheated plus a crappy attitude. What is there to think about. We don't need no stinking liars and cheaters on Calgun.

If he doesn't get a Negative on this one, he will do worse to another Calgunner (or some one) on the next deal.
