    Galco Ching Sling

Thinking about a ching sling for my next gun (.30 caliber, bolt action, hunting-type rifle). For those of you that have used them, what are your impressions? Do you find that you torque the rifle enough to throw groups? How comfortable is it to carry slung? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Don't use a Ching Sling per se, just the doubled back loop of a basic nylon sling. Saves about $75, although it doesn't do anything for ease of carry.
Slinging up doesn't affect my POI, prolly cuz the barrel is free-floated.

Technically what is picutred in the OP is the safari sling.

I've made ching and safari slings before out of nylon and find them to shoot well enough for hunting work, though my normal hunting sling is the "hunter quick sling" from, eh, somewhere.

You don't torque the rifle any more or less than you would with a loop sling of making a hasty sling out of your carry strap.
