I was out of town for work in Northern AZ. My bank account was hacked and although I usually Cary some emergency money, I left it with my wife in case the had an emergency. I could've borrowed some cash from my co worker but that's not how I roll. So I pawned my travel piece, a HK USP compact .40.
There were two guys in the store and when one found out about my HK, he pulled out the same gun from his holster although he said his was alot older. I picked it up this morning and only pulled the slide back checking for cclear. I got home and went out back to pop some rounds off and noticed that the take down pin on the grip by the mag well was 3/16" sticking out. Enough that it wasn't aligned with the opposite hole. I think Dude opened my gun and swapped his tired springs for my minty fresh springs. Or am I being paranoid? The trigger feels the same, I think...With the millions of gun shops here in Yavapai county I'm already making calls to trade it for the same but in 9mm to consolidate calibers. I should've looked it over but was in a hurry to leave for home and I would've noticed that pin beforehand. I should've put the lock through it but now that I live in AZ I always have the gun close.
