If the bullet button is outlawed????

So if the CA gov ever passes a law to outlaw the bullet button, would that mean that existing firearms equipped with a bullet button to make them (currently) CA legal would be grandfathered in and still be legal to own after the law passed? Or would they confiscate any firearms that (currently) requires a bullet button to be legal to own? I understand that it's likely that this may be an unanswerable question until such a law is proposed or passed. But my question is, can they make existing firearms registered in the state with a bullet button illegal to own after a law is passed, or would they only be able to make them illegal to sell or transfer?

    Yes, it is unsnswerable.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
