Today I joined the NRA

Remember when you said "I knew there was something about you I liked" regarding being a Jeff Gordon fan?

Well, I knew there was something I didn't like about you!

I know . . . I know . . We all make mistakes. I voted for him in 2008 but not in 2012. Big mistake but thankfully my vote in 08' was neutralized by my Wife's vote for McCain/Palin that year . We used to joke about cancelling each other out.

He is banned . . . he came after me in another thread about joining awhile back.


I know to some it seems like a no brainer just to join, but there is a reason so many of us gun owner's have not joined. I can only speak for myself. For me it wasn't the money at all, but the notion that "I now have contributed to a group that I truly believe in" if that makes any sense.

Anyway I'll wait for my membership package and stickers to arrive!

I'm in my 50's. Born and raised in California. It has been going down hill for as long as I can remember. Not just firearms issues. Pretty much in every aspect.
