my friend used to destroy guns in glendale (PD)... he has some crazy stories and beautiful pictures.

They don't give an airborne rodent's posterior who owns them. The whole thing is just a propaganda camgaign to bolster the image of the PD to make it LOOK like they are really doing something about crime. They are NOT taking guns "off the street". The guns they are getting are coming from the homes of law abiding citizens who don't want them and don't realize their value. Those guns that are "on the street" are in the hands of criminals and they are not about to turn them in for a $50 gift certificate from Wal-Mart.

I'm surprised by how dainty and prissy many men like to act now a days. Straight men.

They get nice guns from a relative who served in World War 2 or is a collector of solidly made firearms, but there are men out there who decide to turn in the firearms to law enforcement. Doing it thinking they're helping stop crime or some vague notion of doing good that the media or maybe their wives have had a hand in pushing into their minds.
