hello I have tinnitus which means I always hear a ringing noise. I made some notched white noise files that have been really helpful. I listen to 14000hz , if your a shooter you probably want to use a similar frequency. There is a download link in the youtube description at various frequencies along with a word document of corresponding natural noises that you can use to help choose a notched frequency. If your tinnitus gets louder after a few days you are listening to the wrong frequency.

The ringing didn't go away but it got quieter and occurs less. If you know where to find better help for your tinnitus please let me know , because this is the best help I could find ( for free).

Most people above the age of about 35 years can't even hear 14 kHz any more.

I have had tinnitus for about 25 years. There is much better therapy available than just blasting your ears with HF sound. Jastreboff pioneered a therapy called TRT (tinnitus retraining therapy). You need an audio specialist for effective treatment.

thank you for replying , the audio files in the download link contains tailor made notched white noise music from 1000hz to 18000 hz , not just 14000

I don't know. I'm pushing 40 years of constant ringing and it doesn't really bother me that much. I wouldn't mind if it went away, but I mostly just ignore it. Now that fact that I can't hear well sucks...get tired of saying "what"

Tinnitus SUCKS! Can't wait to get older... I hear (get it?) that it gets worse (louder?).
