Free Software - Laser based Dry Fire Practice

Not being able to get to the range much, I started looking for more effective (and fun!) ways to practice at home.

Scouring the web, I found 2 FREE software packages that work well, and are a lot of fun. They're both laser based and use a simple webcam to track and score your shots.

I was really surprised to see virtually no mention made of this software on the web... So, I thought I'd help spread the word, and help out some fellow shooters.

I have absolutely no affiliation with either.

Thanks for sharing. Will let my friends know too as we work during the day and it sucks to go on specific nights when the range is open to the public and its crowded to the point to just turn around and go home.

I've been using Sharp Spotter for a few hours today... I really like it.
Works well... makes dry firing fun...

I'll have to check these 2 out to see how they compare to the paid software I use, RangeMaster SRS.

I have a Top Gun Marksmanship system which is a lesser expensive but just as capable as the SCATT. I like it very much and use it with my rifles and handuns. I am interested to hear how the free online version works.

Sharpspotter was easy to download, not so easy to configure, but nearly as good for what I want as the LASR software that I paid for. Good call, wish I'd known about it sooner!
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
