    Anyone Use Laser Boresites?

I just found these and they look like they would work really well to zero in your scope without going to the range. Has anyone tried this? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=118402242

they are great! I have two one .223 and the other 7.62 x 39. Zero your sights at home 10yrds and it will save you so much time and ammo at the range. Buy it, you'll thank me later.

Great way to get your shots on paper. Saves on ammo. All you have to do is fine tune the sights for the load you're shooting.

I'm definately getting one of these, with the price of .223 these days, it will pay for itself in no time at all!

Whats the difference between http://www.opticsplanet.net/aimshot-...re-sights.html and http://www.opticsplanet.net/aimshot-...or-arbors.html

                What are Arbors?

i boresight the old fashioned way (i just stare down the barrel and compare that to what i see in the scope).

i did that at home and my first shot was only about 4 inches off at 100 yards.

i think the arbor is the casing without the laser

you will need the complete kit.

                    i picked up this one

I recently bought one at the Glendale Gun Show (September I think.)

It allowed me to zero all my scoped rifles with incredible accuracy...Saved a lot of ammunition.

It looks much safer than this model in case you forget to remove it and pull the trigger.

I've got an older optical boresighter that does the same thing. Got me on the paper and fine tuning was minimal afterwards on a .22lr. I would recommend one assuming the concept is the same with the laser model (and I am sure it is).

I've used the laser bore sighters for all my guns. Recently I tried lightly clamping the rifle to the bench and doing an eyeball boresighting and I have to admit I was pretty impressed by how accurate it was. I think the eyeball method is great if conditions are perfect and the eyeball is of high quality.

The only thing they could do to improve the laser boresighter is to manufacture it with a replaceable snap-cap style primer so I can see how my firing affects the weapon.

Problem is the batteries die very fast, and the laser is very dim. But still worth it.
