      OP FAIL

      He didn't read the article.

      It says

Christopher Cook manufactured and sold unserialized polymer AR-15 lower receivers online

What material he back-filled them with is unimportant.

At one point my recycled soda bottle was a bag of chips. Who cares what it was as long as it was =/>80% completed by the time it was sold. I think any rational person would agree that there could be many steps in creating any particular product prior to it being presented for sale.

Maybe Cook cut the FCG and then back filled it as the very first step in the process(still an 80% after). If they went that route then they did not create a firearm at any point in the process.

          This old news.

They made 'more than' 80% receivers then filled them to get back to 80%. ATF said NO.

Sounds like the guy is boned for sure. Hopefully he has a clean record otherwise, and can afford a good attorney who can PB the charges down and avoid serious Federal jail time.

So the owner is not being charged if he relinquishes all of the lowers?

                    LOL.

I remember the discussion I had with the owner before he sold these large scale outside Jason's office. I even recall specifically sending a receiver in of the same color before this whole rau started and introducing them to Ares.

I got screwed in the process but everyone gets theirs in the end.

OP mega fail, and posters fail as well.
This is EP Armory, discussed AD NAUSEM.
TOLERANCE caught it, and linked to the "more clear" bearingarms report.

Hey lamesauce. I did read the article which was current and did not mention EP armory. Was the intent of your post simply to be a jerk off?

Apparently, the ATF deemed this color indication crossed the line beyond 80% and is now prosecuting him for dealing in unserialized firearms! I hope he has a good lawyer.

In my opinion, these lowers still required all the milling any other 80% lower requires to make a firearm receiver. Why in the hell should color coding trigger any additional level of completion???

I never cared for EP Armory or the owner anyway. He's kind of a tool and used to run around town in a BMW with the plate "GUNRUNR" or something similar. Hmm. No wonder he got attention from the Feds.
