Bravo not shipping to CA

I recently contacted Bravo Company regarding a policy that they're no longer shipping to CA. This is their response:

"Thank you for contacting us. Due to current California State Laws, we do not ship complete rifles, lower receiver groups, or magazines to California."

Did the laws change and missed it? I mean not even lowers? Can someone tell me what's going on?

They are joining other companies that realize CA is more trouble to sell to than it's worth. Some have a policy not to sell anything to CA LEO's that the public also cannot buy.

The minds of Excremento are happy about it too.

Thanks Jim... So much for buying from them... I guess it was a good thing I bought my upper from them when I did. Any other companies that are no longer selling and shipping to CA? I'm looking into .300 blackout before even those become illegal in CA.

Use a middleman FFL to get what you want from Bravo - it's really not that hard or expensive. Alphacat or EBR Works in AZ.

OP, your thread title is misleading. BCM will ship ship uppers and accessories to CA. They will not, nor have they ever, shipped lowers or complete rifles to CA.

In the past, they've directed us to buy lowers/rifles from G&R Tactical or Rainier Arms.

SO what?? Go to Rifle Gear or look on their site and there are umpteen other brands of receivers to buy.

Anything special about the ones not shipping and you really really have to have one of those, Call EBR or Audiophil in Arizona and they will ship it to your FFL.
Why buy from the manufacturer when you can get it from a dozen other sources without any headaches??

I've bought gas blocks and other parts from them recently. Others have mentioned already I think there's been a thread about their policy.

I know a little something about ecommerce.

If their ecommerce platform can't account for districts where they are not allowed to ship, it's more trouble than it's worth to manually do onesies.

I don't think they ever sent full rifles or lowers to CA because they (understandably) don't stock BBs in Wisconsin. They always direct you to G&R, one of their vendors, who sells for same price as BCM (with a nominal add-on for BB installation).

Rainier Arms also ships to CA.
