SB County Supervisor Wants Employees Armed

Looks like common sense is sloooooowwwwwly returning to a few of the elected elite.

Two months after terrorists gunned down 14 unarmed San Bernardino county workers in a gun-free zone, one local official is calling for county employees to be permitted to carry guns at work and have access to weapons at county facilities.

But, wouldn't that just lead to out of control gunfights at work? I mean, having guns might temp people to shoot each other when someone eats their stuff out of the breakroom fridge, or leaves a jammed paper in the printer.

Just kidding, of course. Hopefully these stupid "feel free to shoot all of us" zones go away. Gun-free zones are just safe havens for terrorists and criminals.

Let's see if he gets reelected.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

According to the article, the Sheriff's Dept is having a hard time keeping up with CCW permit requests. Based on that, I'd say he's got a decent chance of reelection.

Good - maybe things are starting to turn a corner. I still have faith that common sense will eventually prevail, and the elected officials will bend to public opinion (assuming public opinion keeps going pro-2A like it seems to be).

Those applications probably represent less than 5% of the county population.

You don't know San Bernardino County.

I'd say he will be just because of this.
A few more cases of carnage and it may become a fad amongst politicians.

At a high stakes poker game the other night, I heard that the SBSD has assigned Reserve Deputies to the CCW unit to help clear out the backlog of applications.

In the meantime, RCSD has 2 Deputies trying to process a mountain of applications.
                  Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

                  Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)
