How to become more accurate and precise?

The quickest way to improve both accuracy and precision is to learn and practice basic shooting fundamentals. Once you have mastered them, you will know how to proceed to be a better shooter in your chosen discipline(s). If you have not mastered or do not know the fundamentals, I suggest taking a NRA basic handgun, rifle or shotgun course depending on your needs. Obviously, your current primary need would be a basic handgun course. Also, the way a firearm fits you is very important. You can practice all you want with a gun but, if it doesn't fit you properly, you'll never shoot it as well as someone else might be able to.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

Start with a good platform (1911 and Advantage Arms or Nelson .22lr conversion kit).
Find a good instructor.
I shoot at La Puente Firing Range every week. Was able to shoot a 1" group at 7 yards after about 3 months.Comment
