IF transfer form wrong make?

Finally received my DOJ letter showing a firearm my father transferred to me is registered under my name.

It's a Ruger LCP 380. But under make in the letter it shows SR. I would have thought it should say Ruger?

Anyone know what SR means?

Probably Sturm Ruger. I wouldn't worry about it.

SR = Sturm, Ruger & Co. (official name)

Ok. That's what I was hoping. Will be going on as one of my CCW guns and didn't want to run into a problem. Thanks for the help.

The code "SR" is the correct code for the states Automated Firearm System, or AFS for a Ruger firearm. Sturm Ruger was the full name in use at the time AFS was implemented.

All makers get a two or three letter code for the system.
