I'm trying to Google up a good reference -- they have a V, J, D, E, I type just like S&W (in concept). I'll keep digging for a concise link to post and update here...
EDIT: wow, this was a crazy place to find a good list - Facebook!
There is also a pretty good list on this gun grips page (hey, now that makes sense):
Those two results seem to have the best all-in-one shot laying out the Colt frames.Comment

A Colt "D" frame will fit S&W "K" frame holsters. D frame was able to shoot .357 all day long and not shoot loose like the K frame, as the rumor goes."The California matrix of gun control laws is among the harshest in the nation and are filled with criminal law traps for people of common intelligence who desire to obey the law." - U.S. District Judge Roger T. Best as I recall, many of the J-Frame holsters made years ago would also fit Colt D-Frame (Detective Special, Agent, Cobra) revolvers. These were called "Small frame" guns.
Colt V-frame like the King Cobra/Trooper Mk III were between K & N sizes of the S&W line.Comment
