    OK For Ammo Storage?

So I had stopped buying ammo cause of lack of storage space. They are upgrading file cabinets at work and are offering the old ones to employees. I picked up 2 thinking of extra ammo space. They are metal, lockable, and come with keys. Anybody else use these to store ammo? Any reason why I shouldn't use them?

Any case is better then no case! Some of the fireproof file cabinets are very sturdy

      I use one that's a 5x3 card cabinet.

Just put the heavy stuff on the bottom

They should do nicely. However, don't overload them because they can buckle easily.

What he said, paper is heavy, but not as heavy as lead, don't fill more than halfway per drawer unless you know they were spec'd for more.

I use these old school card file cabinets, very heavy duty with full roller slides.
One drawer for each caliber. Works great.

Just do NOT open two drawers at once when loaded. I have seen them tip with just paper when someone opened the two top drawers.
