While this sounds ludicrous in theory, silly as to what it would accomplish, if you said this to someone with the VPC, Brady Campaign, Moms Demand, or some similar group, you shouldn't be so surprised if they not only agree it's a good idea, but are actually already doing it.

Now you are just going in a round about circle and ignoring the full details of what I stated, while making up my argument for me that I didn't make.

I understand the government has serial numbers and ways to track me and them if necessary, but that would typically be for very black-and-white academic purposes or dire need. I've posted elsewhere on Calguns in how that works, whether by 4473 or DROS details. Yet, here is the tectonic-plate of excess which they don't have connections nor do I wish to give it to them:

Really not asking for a no-knock exigent-circumstance visit from her BOF/DOJ Gestapo even if it would give her the biggest orgasm of her lifetime.

I also said this and agree, for several reasons more than just this. All someone has to do is then send me a PM or email for any gun I'm selling - it's not that hard. Typically when selling a gun on an auction site, I have no issues posting the serial number, my identity is relatively better protected nor connected to any thoughts, comments, or views that may disturb the easily fragile and phobic, or LEO/politicans (which can be both of the former) versus what can happen on a "board" like Calguns.

Now if I have a potential buyer that is serious, I will advise them of it if they ask, as I realize for collectible guns that can be very important or if the serial number is exceptionally unique or say only a dozen of that model were made.

I appreciate everybody's input on this question. Looks like the best thing to do is block out the last parts of the numbers which I will be doing on any firearm listing.

Probably not going to do any damage if the info is there on the picture but better save then sorry.
