I do not know how often the intruders/attackers wear bullet proof vest, I guess not many! But people always say that you better shoot to the largest area in the body = the chest. If they intentionly break in your house wearing bullet proof vest, but you just don't know, then you could not stop them! Please share your opinions.

Failure drill.
2 to the center of mass, evaluate: stopped or down? If NO, 1 to the head.
The 'evaluate' step is very short.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

I would normally use my RAA saiga....so body armor should not be an issue with the 2 in the chest and one in the head rule. If they are smart enough to wear level 3 or 4 body armor odds are they will have friends

As G. Gordon Liddy says "Aim for the groin they were body armor".Comment

yeah...also keep in mind that evening wearing a vest that may prevent penetration, it will still most likely knock him down. Plus there is a ton of pain from it so it's not like your shot will be uselessComment

One of the most wanted in Contra Costa County is a guy who packs a silver .45 handgun and wears body armor and robs homes. His MO is to case briefly enough to watch you leave...or arrive before entering and stealing/invading. He's done many dozens of burglaries. I was doing a ride along in Oakley when the CCC SO's J-Team attempted a pounce on a reported hide out.
So yeah, for this purpose alone, I will fire UNTIL the intruder is down going for upper thoracic and head if given the chance. I'm not anticipating any real aiming moments.Fleeing the PRK on 3/8/09!!Comment

+1 on the failure drill. It's better to have it, and not need it, then to need it, and not have it.
