    10/22 tech sights

Which one do I get? The TSR100 or the TSR200? Which is better? The 100 looks like it has the cool flip apertures whereas the 200 looks like it just has the one aperture with more elevation adjustment.

Want to do this one right. The 10/22 needs a little loving.

never played with the 10/22 ones, but I have a TS200 on an SKS. I believe the internals are the same.

While the peep is adjustable, the adjustments are somewhat mushy and not very precise feeling. They are also not adjustable by fingers. They seem like they would be, but I can't even get a fingernail in there and have to use a tool (knife or bullet tip works). The elevation adjustment works, but it is not a target sight click adjustment.

Bottom line, yes they are adjustable, but A2 sights they are not.

That said, I quite like the system in general. I just don't think the TSR200 is worth it. If I were to do it again, I would just buy the TSR100.

    Hope that helps,
    -Pete

With adjustable elevation at front and rear, I think that the TSR200 is not worth it. Besides, I like the option of having quick acquisition and precision in one place.

      Sold on the TSR100!

I went with the TSR200 as I was putting it in a 10/22 with a Tapco stock for my kid and wanted to use the straight stock sans a scope. Worked pretty well. That said, either is pretty good.

One thing I did replace was the front sight post and detent/spring. The stock one sucks. I put a USGI one in and am now very happy with the Tech-Sights.

          Glad you asked --

If you're planning on doing an Appleseed, or at shooting at anything less than 100 yards, get the TSR100, because there are major issues with shooting at under 100 yards (like at 25m for an Appleseed) with the 200s -- the post just doesn't go down far enough, and it will cause you a lot of heartache. The 100 is awesome, very accurate, I love mine and am glad I made the purchase.

Also, considering that .22 starts to really fade out past 100y anyways, you don't really need the elevation adjustment. The front sights are adjustable anyways on the 100s for correction/zeroing -- just be sure you buy the tool that they sell on the site.

Also, be sure to locktite everything down, especially the front sight, or it will slide out on ya.

Warning: The rear peep aperture DOES NOT change regardless where you flip it. I have no clue why they included a rear flip peep, because both aperture holes are identical. Stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Aside from that, I like the sights.

I have a TSR200 on my SKS and it made a huge difference. As for my 10/22 I scoped mine.
