No amount of logic means anything to them because they aren't misguided individuals. This is punishment for us and the NRA under the guise of safety. It is indeed about control. If they can control the number of guns, they can control the number of gun owners. This reduces the number of people who joing the NRA and fight for the 2nd Amendment reducing it to mere words scribbled in ink. The ultimately leads to...control.

I can't imagine any crime this would even slow down. Long guns just aren't used in street crime, and mass shootings involving multiple long guns are generally planned more than 30 days in advance.

Really? Jeez, I wonder why? I guess it's our own fault for not buying enough handguns since the 1 in 30 handgun law went into effect.

Not only was I a gun a month club member for the first 2 years I began my collection. My last long gun was purchased before registration. I have been hesitant in buying another. I do intend on buying or building a bolt action upper for my AR's.
