El Chapo raid on Go pro...

sorry if this is a dupe...

I'm no soldier but these guys seem to lack communication and order. Multiple guys trying to squeeze through hallways and doorways at one time. Exposing their bodies etc...

Can any trained soldiers chime in on what they think?

    Love the grenades

some of them have m203s mounted on their m4's...seems cumbersome for that environment.

Yeah, that video made me real happy I will never be on the receiving end of a Mexican Marine raid. Lots of double tapping and pandemonium.

Seems they used more the tactic of overwhelming force and numbers rather than precision, but heck they got the job done!

Seems like a whole lot of shooting going on and nobody even in there. Is that just to scare people that could be hiding?! It also took a while just to get in and with all that shooting and the huge time frame, I would think anybody inside could have been able to jump out a window or something. We know he got caught so that didn't happen but they're lucky he didn't escape out the back.

Mexican Swat operations and "precision" should never be used in the same paragraph.

                That’s exactly what happened.

                http://www.latimes.com/world/la-fg-g...110-story.html

After the Penn meeting, and after the armed forces commandeered many mountain roads and checkpoints and started conducting searches of houses throughout the region, Guzman’s habit of moving every couple of days became much riskier, Vigil said Mexican officials told him.
Guzman apparently decided then to take the risky step of relocating to Los Mochis, despite the higher risk of being recognized and being reported to the government.
The actual capture occurred after Guzman escaped from the house and authorities pursued him along a highway, he said. The fugitive was captured after an eight-minute gunfight that left five of his bodyguards dead.

Too bad Sean Penn wasn't in there when the raid took place.

Weird they are all firing away and killing as many as they could find there while they prevent any criminal from being extradicted here if they face the death penalty.

I guess Mexico prefers killing without a trial?

If you listen there were several of the Mexican soldiers saying "kill him, kill him" repeatedly which the CNN and other versions of the video don't translate (Matalo! matalo!). Not captioned. No interest in arrest. Not the way you run the business down there...

Guilty until proven innocent is the tactic they were using.

Room clearance by rifle fire, multiple grenade deployment, more rifle fire, rifle fire while entering, and then entry with more rifle fire.

                          Amazing that anyone inside survived.

Yea, it's a whole different world down there. Screw the book, it's a "kill them all" situation most of the time. There is a video of a hit man who gets his leg blown off and the Marines are just standing there waiting for him to bleed out. That's just the reality. No reason to help out a criminal. Unlike in America where the bleeding hearts would be crying their hearts out if this happened.

Do you guys blame them? The cartels are rocking the latest in CQB weaponry, while these marines are making $900-$1200 a month tops with often inferior weaponry. Shoot first, ask questions later works much better in that scenario.
