    DROS is gun registration

Nobody seems to mention that closing the so called loop hole is nothing more than gun registration. If you dros a gun they now know you bought it right.

Is there anyone who does not believe that registration is the REAL agenda?

You do realize that DROS is California specific and that California registers all firearms?

I consider 4473 forms a type of registration also.

Is this NEW? Dros has always been in CA, but I hear the registration is new addition to it in CA. If that's the case, it's disappointing and buying another gun (even a .22) is giving me a 2nd thought... I will probably not buy guns (was almost considering buying a 9mm pistol, a .22 pistol, and a 10/22 rifle sometimes this year)

                    Not always

You must not be very old; we had the right to buy and sell without DROS for many of my gun buying years - yes I'm that old

You're a fool if you let this keep you from buying a gun.

Start making your own if you're worried about the government knowing, and pay cash, preferably in a dark lot in the middle of the night.

Required paper on handguns through dealers began 1924, the original DROS.

Required use of dealers began 1991, as well as required paper for intrafamilial handguns.

Required paper for long guns began 2014.

In all cases, DROS info including buyer name and address, gun make and caliber, have been sent to CA-DOJ; the data from dealers is submitted electronically, but CA-DOJ has had folks entering data from the old paper forms. One anecdote here, from years ago, mentioned that a sale from the 1980s showed up in AFS.
