Also, they usually DON'T have the Accutrigger. In my opinion, other than great/accurate barrels, the Accutrigger is THE reason to buy a Savage. I wouldn't buy one without.sigpic

Sportsmans had one for under 500 today, w/ the accutrigger. Not sure on the model and i think the scope was a simmons, but not too sure, should shoot ok though. Just replace the scope when the first one fails.Originally posted by bohokiOriginally posted by Soldier415Comment

I bought cheap bargain rifle/glass combo, and I verified the scope was Chinese junk. I think my first clue was when the inner glass burst and the reticle nearly flew out of it. Still, I bought the rifle for the rifle, and I can always upgrade the scope. If you like the rifle, do it - upgrade the scope when it breaks!Comment

What I would do if you were going to buy the combo, is replace the scope and put it on a .22LR or .17HMR rifle.
