Good find at Tabor's in San Bruno

As usual, after church today I decided to look at guns. I went to Tabor's about 45 minutes before they closed, and they had just put a 6" Colt King Cobra into the consignment case for only $475. I'm no expert, but it looked good--no scratches, good timing, good rifling. I promised my wife no more guns, but I had to buy it.

They also had a pre-lock Smith and Wesson 686-3 for $599, and a Smith and Wesson 29-10 for $750. I was tempted to buy everything, but I decided not to. Anything else and I'll need another safe.

I'm so glad I decided to drive north from the city to the Sac area gun shops instead of down south - 5 traffic jams, 3 accidents and no deals.

Well, I almost stopped at a yarn shop with my wife and kids before going to Tabor's. Luckily I didn't, and the yarn shop was closed after I bought the gun.

        Congrats!

I don't like Tabors' stance on OLL, etc. but they have a nice shop, lots of guns, and they're good people.

I never asked him about OLL's, but when he started talking about other dealers raising their prices I mentioned AR lower receivers. He went along with the conversation without telling me I would go to jail.

It's because when I was in there earlier another customer asked about them and he said it then . I gently interjected that I owned a couple, and Frank did point the guy to Calguns for more information.

Frank is a good guy, and given the length Iggy went to to try and ruin his business over the probate/AW flap, I'd say he's justified in how he feels.

Thanks, hopefully people will start acting like crack addicts and put their Pythons and Anacondas on consignment.

Yeah, I remeber that one. Not cool at all. He almost made it his personal crusade to shut Frank down.

Why is this guy iggy so hell bent on creating trouble for honest working FFL dealers, do you think he goes beyond his job parameters to try and overly police citizens.

It sounds more personnel than just doing his job.

whats more i know he is well known in the gun community and you would think by now that he could relate to gun owners and there dealers and would to some extent undertsand us.

You cannot tell me he does not enjoy shooting guns and rifles when he has to do it at the range as part of the job.

And i bet he would do it in his spare time or if he retired.

I wonder just what he owns in his gun safe.

I find it truely remarkable that this guy polices the gun comunity- dealers vendors and gun shows and does not have a large repoir with the people who work in this buisness. honest hard working people just trying to make a living with something the truely have a interest in.

                      whats this guys deal.

P.S. dont tell him i wrote this.

With that and the people who are always trying to rob his store, it's amazing that he still comes in every day.

Pretty sure it was a 6".

Well he can't do it anymore, he "retired" from DOJ and is walking a beat in SF. I wouldn't want to get into an analysis of what makes a person behave a certain way or that they perhaps get their sense of self worth through their job. I just think it has something to do with his abnormally small feet.
