    Not having much luck finding...

    ...a 4.7" barrel for my Beretta 92fs

from what i can tell, the Beretta site only carries a stainless version, for the Elite/Vertec model, my Beretta is black

i don't know, a stainless 4.7" barrel on my black 92fs could look nice, but i'd prefer to find one the same color as the slide

anyone have a source for the 4.7" barrel im looking for?

Try the classifieds on the Beretta Forum.
Post a WTB and I'm sure someone will come thru for you.

4.7" instead of the stock 4.9" barrel?

yes, it protrudes just past the slide by maybe an 1/8th of an inch...just a different look to have for the 92fs...photo gives you a little idea

The 4.7" barrel is found on Vertec, Elites & Border Marshal models.

            Neat barrel.

What about having a gunsmith cut your barrel and put a nice crown on it? It'd certainly be cheaper than a new barrel.

that's an excellent idea, i've pondered it, just didn't realize finding that barrel was this difficult
