Seems not all guns shoot from hip well

Well today at the range wife says she'll shoot from the hip to see how that works, as in middle of night this is how it will probably go down.

Steps up, points downrange from between hip & shoulder, shooting EMP 9mm.

With shoot & see targets, she places well on 8" targets 5 times out of 9.

Ok I should check my HK (as that's what I brought ) OMG I couldn't hit crap on that target, in 5 rounds, in disgust, I raised up to sight level fire 5 quickly, all inside the 7 ring.

Well that was a lesson for me, wife says shoot mine, OK I say, same set up between hip & shoulder, Bingo 5 out of 9 well within the black.

So the story is not all guns point & shoot the same, One 1911 style other not.

Now DW revolver dose this task well, so don't have to think about it, will try CZ next time, see how that pans out.

So which of you HG's shoot well from the hip ?

Can't say first my pistols, but I can tell you this... None of my pistol gripped rifles shoot for **** when firing from the hip, while all my my standard rifle stock firearms shoot much better in the same position.

I even tend to miss shooting from the hip with a shotgun at a target 20 feet in front of me.

Note to idiot politicians: pistol grips do NOT make it easier to "spray bullets" from the hip, unless your goal is to not hit anything you're shooting at.
