    Help identifying this .22....Thanks...

Just something I traded a case of Newcastle for...Shoots straight..

has NEF markings on the buttstock (new england firearms), no serial numbers, nothing..Looked on the Google machine, nothing.

    Thanks in advance, J

I truly don't know...It kinda looks like a cricket but the trigger guard is different.

I really can't tell. It might help if the picture was bigger and grainier.

Crickets are single shot according to their own website.

Similar to a Marlin Md 80 youth and the mag matches visually.

lol, another 'look at my one single crappy pic and tell me what it is' thread..

sorry for bustin' your chops op, but some clear shots at different angles would help greatly..

but from the view we have, I'm going with an early Marlin 80C based on flat metal wrap trigger guard and pointed magazine floorplate with rear thumbscrew [barely visible in op picture]

no serial numbers is common in pre-68 rimfires but curious there's no make or model info stamped on the barrel.. is caliber rollmark legible?

based on magazine, could be one of several Marlin/Glenfield house brands as well..

Maybe if you stripped the paint off the barrel and action it might clear up to a more specific model or may even reveal make, model, serial info..

              good luck

              Numrich parts Marlin/Glenfield model 80C

magazine seems to fit quite a few models..
I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

                Look like that is it!

                Thanks all! Marlin 80C.

and I didn't do the paint..like I said, I got it for a case of Newcastle...and it is a tackdriver.

If it's a tack driver, its a Marlin.

Now get some paint stripper and get that Krylon Kamo off of there.

$16 for that painted up piece of crap. You got burned, did you get a tube of KY and a kiss on the lips in the deal?

But beings as how I'm such a nice guy, I'll give you your case of Newcastle back, and a nice crisp $20 for it.

JK......of course. Damn Dude, you done good on that trade.

Ooor easier way... Scratch that paint job away on the barrel above stock and look for the model engraved on the barrel...
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Great score... So since you're saving all that money by getting guns cheap, maybe invest in a new camera?
