    Competitive shooting prizes

Among other responsibilities, I find myself on the awards committee for our three team trapshooting leagues this year. We give out end of year prizes for Overall Champions, Division Champions, and Division Runners-up for each league, and then those teams advance to a combined championship event at the end of the season, with the same breakdown of trophies, although we always pick different items.

I did this last year, and regular league won leather shooting bags and accessories, and the championships won engraved beer steins of varying levels. It was a good year and those went over really well, but I can totally see why awards committees get burned out. And also, there's no way to please everyone, which I don't worry about too much.

I have some things in mind, and an extremely rough budget that will be finalized in a couple of weeks, but I'd like to branch out beyond the trapshooting world (and within it too, of course, because different regions like different things,) and see what some of you all's favorite trophies and awards have been. I do need to customize things to reflect our organizations though.

So, what say you guys? What prizes have gone over well, and what have been complete duds?

Small trophies, cups, or medals are always nice. Nobody needs another large trophy to dust.

No, large trophies are a pain, I agree.

I always liked golden clays. Something small and memorable.

No one likes huge trophies nowadays.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

Leather shooting pouches, individual and 4 box shell carriers, windbreakers. Gold coin buckles are nice
