Glock rtf2 22 with intermittent LRBHO problems

    Hello my fellow Calgunners,

Just earlier I went to the local range and shot my Glock 22 rtf2 and I've had 4 instances where 2 mags did not slide back when empty. And I'm hoping my fellow Calgunners help me diagnose my problems.

So I've shot a lil' more than >200 rounds earlier today, and cycled two of the original mags that came with the G22 RTF2. I am the original owner of this and never had any issues till now (not even that light mounted Glock 22 problem). I've asked one of the range masters if I could test out one of thier rental's mags, and it locked back both times? I ran 2 Winchester white box 100VP, and some 165gr Remington's. Basically all shelf ammo. The only mod added this year was a vickers ESL which I think I may have touched with my support thumb palm preventing the slide from locking back? Could it have been 4 under charged rounds causing a short stroke? Or maybe it's the magazine springs from the two mags? Could that weapon light mounted Glock22 cause failure to lock back? Iuno'.

I'm going to record my self tomorrow and bring two other mags I have for comparison? Thinking about switching up the capacity between 4-8rounds a mag so I hit the last round randomly, and I'm praying its me.

Thanks for hearing me out, and I'd love to hear your opinions.
    Thanks

As a glocktard, I refuse to believe that you had a problem with an RTF 22.

You installed an aftermarket slide stop and now you have slide locking problems?

What do you think your next step should be?

I am not dissing the Vickers ESL as I use them without issue on several guns but you need to see if eliminating that part eliminates your problem. Then you will need to determine if your malfunction with that part is from your thumb, the part itself or your magazines.

Start at step 1 and work your way up/down from there.

Maybe start with a bit of lube and be mindful of that support hand and/or thumb. Consider any other mods that have been done on the pistol and work your way down.

Most likely your thumbs are dropping the slide on recoil.

Put in the mag you think is bad empty and pull the slide back, if it locks, it's your thumbs/grip.

Yeah I installed it back in February I believe, but I have taken it out in many times before and never had a problem. Hoping it's a user error.

              I'll keep y'all posted tonight/tomorrow. Thanks
