FPC scammers?

I keep getting emails that my Firearms Policy Center (FPC) membership is expiring. I don't have a FPC membership.

Are these guys scammers?

Kinda. If you ever signed up for their emails or newsletter campaign, or registered to vote on a poll through them, you received a complimentary membership. It's exciting and the renewal membership requires a donation.

It's a little deceptive and leaves one with the feeling that they need to take a shower after reading the e-mail. Unfortunately, just about everyone in the gun lobbying business does something similar, including the NRA. Some even send "invoices" for your past due membership fees.

I know with magazines sometimes third parties insert themselves, without permission (!), to get renewals.... they're usually semi legit. You pay and you do end up with the magazine subscription but the publisher didn't authorise them to call you... I only know about it because one magazine I read warned people about it...

I've received 17 emails from them since Wednesday.

emails to my personal account from when I privately emailed Brandon so he had that one.
emails to my CGF account,
emails to my paypal account
emails to my FPC account
emails to my Cal-FFL account.

received ELEVEN more emails from them today. what a joke of an org.

Click on it and get off their mailing list.

Yeah.......our shop has been heavily spammed by them in the last few weeks.

I did that before and that got rid of most of them, but then in the last week they started sending again to all 6 email addresses that Brandon knew about, ones that I never gave to FPC. I gave an email address to Cal-FFL, another to CGF, and others and they all started getting FPC emails.


anyways, unsubscribed again multiple times. lets see if it does any good.

sure feels like it, but they do have a bit to go.

just looked in my frontsight folder and I have 2600 emails in 3 years from Iggy I could unsubscribe but instead just have a outlook rule set to move them all to a folder. I just look at it every week or so for the laughs.

I just shut them off after my last (And I really mean it this time) upgrade.
