    H&K Grading and Value Help

I was recently offered a H&K USP 45 and am wanting some opinions. First I wish I could post a picture of what I am about to describe but cannot so bear with me. My main concern is that the exterior finish on the barrel that is visible at the ejection port of the slide has worn off in a small area only. The rest of the barrel shows normal wear with the finish in good shape. As for the frame finish wear is minimal but can tell it has been holstered. Everything else appears to be in an overall good condition.

Is the bear metal on the barrel a deal breaker and what do you think a fair price would be given what I have tried my best to describe. Any input would be great!

It's a used gun. If you don't want scratches buy new. USP pistols are tanks and they have a very long life span. Used USP pistols seems to bring $500ish when I see them for sale if it's just the gun and 2 mags. Obviously more mags and maybe better sights will bump the price up a bit.

Thanks for the reply and agree with the new vs used and I do realize that what I am looking at is used. Reason for the post is because asking price is $750.

You could probably get a new in box V3 for $800 if you look around. Prices on HK pistols have gone down a bit recently. All this assuming it's not some rare model like an expert or match.

A USP 9 sold in the classifieds the other day for $450 here. New you can get them under $800 usually. Even the tactical models with threaded barrels and suppressor height sights are under a grand.

A new USP 45 is $820 OTD from 2A Zone. For that kind of difference, I would just buy new.
