I just wanted to say I had a very positive experience there today. I called them earlier in the day and the gentleman on the phone was very helpful and told me they had one Stag 2H upper in stock. I went in at about 3:00 P.M. and they were very busy but within a minute someone behind the counter asked if I need any assistance, I told him I was looking for a Stag 2H. I was in and out within 5 minutes despite the amount of customers they had in the store.

They are THE single BEST stocked dealer in our area. Don is a very nice man. They have no problem placing orders either.

My favorite thing about them is that they allow you to get HANDS ON in the consignment area. Just walk around and pick things up and inspect at will. Just be SURE you ask first as the area is located behind thier counter. I've bought 2 SKS' from them for this reason.

+1. It amazes me how MUCH stuff they have in stock. I went in to look at a XD9 and they went to the back and brought it out in all color options! And if you ask, they do allow you to look at the consignment and used gun area. Just brought my uncle there and he picked up a used remington 870

I made a recent purchase there also and was happy. Good selection and it was worth the drive.

The older guy with a bad arm was cranky, but I expected it when I asked to see another model 700 I knew they had in back, hoping it did not have the scratch on the stock like the one he showed me from the rack.

I nearly laughed out loud when He said - "Its exactly the same rifle! Are you really interested cause if your jacking me around I'll run your *** outa here!"

He changed tunes after I bought it and let me walk around behind the counter.

I live up in roseville and called all around the country trying to order my upper, stock, lowers parts... with no luck and then just walked right in and picked it all up no problem.

I got an excellent Rem 40X in 7.62 a few years back for under $600.00. Don't know who did the trigger, but it's the best - I hang a fly strip near the bench because if one lands on it the thing will go off.

I've never sold a gun there, but am thinking of doing some trading this weekend. I know they do consignment and presume they buy straight out, do they do a "store credit" also, as in spend it all with us & you'll get a few more $$$? They always have something I want, I live in SF, so doing a deal in one trip works well for me.

I presume they can carry those great used prices by buying low, but if I happen to be selling my stuff low AND buying low from their inventory I figure it all comes out OK.

Yea, but I expect that type of attitude/treatment in gun shops due to the amount tire kicking they experience - so it really does not bother me. At the time, the guy really made the statement in a colorful maner so it seemed amusing even though he was trying to be nasty.

Funny thing though, several days later when I went to the Lincoln range to shoot it I was not willing to put up with the bad attitude so I did tell the RO to f-off and left for the Sact Vally Shooting area.

+1 on that also. I wanted to mention that some gun purchasers, especially new ones may easily get offended by the "attitude" and what I call a sense of humor. New gun owners may think they come off as rude and mean but i guess you just have to let it not bother you.
