I hope everyone is enjoying their 2nd Amendment Day.

Please sign the petition and help force the White House to respond to making 2nd Amendment Day a federal holiday. It needs 150 votes before it goes public.

The constitution doesn't "give" us freedom. It tells congress what is off-limits from their laws.

As much as I value the 2A, if this day doesn't give me a day off from work, it's pointless. We don't need anymore lame days.

Sorry, those petitions are useless, besides Congress is the body which sets federal holidays, the President can issue "one time" holidays but do you really see him fulfilling your request? Useless petition.

This holiday isn't lame. We can trade Columbus Day for 2nd Amendment Day to keep the number of holidays the same. Maybe your boss will give you for 2nd Amendment Day, we won't know until it becomes a holiday.

I hope everyone enjoyed Second Amendment day. thanks everyone who signed the petition. and some people here are thinking too much into this. it is nothing more than a pro 2nd amendment petition. once it passes I will start another petition to get rid of Columbus Day so there is no net gainof federal holidays for those who don't want anymore. everyone is more than welcome to sign the petition for a friend or family member who may not have the Internet.
