i hope you find some treasure at the show. here's some unsolicited advise; the early bird gets the worm as long as he knows it's a worm he's looking at. do your homework before the show and unless you already have, check current market values/prices on items you will specifically be looking for. when trying to make a decision on a prospective purchase it's best to know whether you are looking at a screamin deal or an item with a jacked up price.Comment

Are you talking about Del-Paso in the Sacramento area?Comment

Ohh, that makes sense too. Haha. Ew. Remind me of Camp Roberts. Hell hole that place is.Comment

Paso Robles is a beautiful area, we have friends up there and go wine tasting a few times a year. If I had to stay in California and had a job just working remotely or from home, I would live up there. Not many jobs up there besides wineries, ranches or working for the state but it is really nice there.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Not a bad show compared to the last San Jose show I went to. Lots of FREE parking across the street! Millwall is there with ammo and primers, no powder though. A lot of old timers with vintage gun parts and plenty of after market parts. Last time was only one jerky guy though.Comment

I want to hit a Santa Maria or Paso show one day. Are they similar with similar vendors? Same vendors mainly as Bakersfield or Fresno or Ventura? Any good shops to hit in San Luis Obisbo or Santa Maria or Paso or other areas around there I'm not thinking about?
I have to miss this show I'll be at Del Mar and other prior commitments.Comment

and take a smart phone if you have one and have gunbroker.com or similar ready..
look for sold auctions in the completed auctions tab in advanced search [must be logged in] for comps..
also tons of websites with serial and yom info.. like bsg said, be prepared.. load the common sites you'll be referencing in your smart phone..
or have a friend handy a phone call away.. I got a couple of calls while I was at work during the last OC crossroads show..
one of my buddies was shopping old Winchesters in the $1k+ and needed some helpI started out with nothing - and I still have most of itComment

Be prepare to be yelled at and berated by some vendors, True story. I was looking at a knick knack and the vendor said make me an offer. I did and the loon went off yelling about how that was insulting yada yada. Screw those scum. BTW, the dude still has the knick knack five years later on his table. There are some sellers that shouldn't be allowed to own firearms, they are 5150.Comment
