    Problems with Surefire

    So, over the Black Friday weekend I saw the sale on the M600P weapons lights. They were 40% off (if I remember correctly). So I decided that I would get 1 black and 1 tan M600P. Right after making the order I noticed that the Pro Comp for both 7.62 and 5.56 were on sale for $29.95 (50% off). Having a Remington 700 I have been considering getting that exact comp for awhile. Instead of making a new order I went under the order modifications and asked them to add it to the order. Since this was the weekend Surefire phones were down so I figured I would call them on Monday. So Monday I call and ask them if they can add it. I was told because of all the orders placed over the weekend they hadn't processed my order yet so she couldn't add it on the order yet but once the order was processed that they would add the comp to the order and honor the sale price. Yesterday night I figured it had been a week and I hadn't heard from Surefire yet so I would call them the following day (today). This morning I got an email saying that there was a problem with my order modification request. So once I had a free minute I gave Surefire a call. This is when all the problems kicked in. I was told that they are cancelling my order because they are out of stock on the M600P. To that, being a reasonable person, I said okay that's not a problem I don't mind waiting until they are back in stock. To that I was told they aren't going to make anymore M600P lights so the order had been cancelled. I was shocked to hear that but in my mind there is nothing I can do about that. So I ask them if I can get a similar light for the same price or maybe the same discount (40% if I remember correctly). To that I was again told no. At this point I am starting to get upset, looking forward to getting these items for a the past ten days. Then I ask them if they could at least put the comp on they order. I was told yes but for the standard price, no sale. I said "look I understand if the light has been discontinued but I was told that the sale price would be honored". After sitting on hold for another 15 minutes I was told the best thing they would do for me is a 25% discount ($44.95 instead of the $29.95 as per the 50% discount I was told I would receive). Being incredibly disappointed and quite frustrated with Surefire at this point I replied "No I think I'm going to have to pass on that. Thank you for your help. Have a nice day." Then proceeded to hang up.

    I don't know what is going on at Surefire but this is not the kind of things that I would expect from them. I don't know if I will continue shopping with them. I hope no one else is dealing with this from them.
