The Second Amendment places limits on GOVERNMENT

The Second Amendment places limits on GOVERNMENT.

HOW do you deal with a Government that exceeds their limits all while exempting their enforcers from the same laws?

short of a revolt, there isn't anything left

unfortunately our modern society isn't geared toward that line of thinking, which is probably the primary reason we'll continue losing more and more of our rights over time

we don't have a viable recourse when we lose our rights, but, some people seem to think that as long as its a decision made by the SCOTUS, then we must've been wrong, it's wasn't a right after all, no matter what we think...afterall, it's not about us...

forgive me if i have trouble buying into the fact that it took over 200 years, and "politically influenced Justices" to suddenly let us know the founder fathers didn't actually write what they wrote

So at what point does the tree of liberty get refreshed with the blood of tyrants?
Emotional appeal is a marketing tactic and not a foundation for effective argument.

It's obvious (to me) that some levels of government are in the process of crushing 2A. The issue is that SCOTUS refuses to take an action on it.

well, let's see riderr...we have a branch of the government that get's to decide whether or not the government is overstepping their governmental rights as to how they govern the citizenry

          what could possible go wrong

what i find even worse about it, is when that very branch, which is supposedly there as our method of checks and balances decides our grievances aren't even worthy of review

hell, what do they have to lose? right now they're running better than 50/50 that the SCOTUS won't even hear the case, let alone they take pleasure in knowing it'll take 10 years just to get there

The recourse given by Chief Justice Roberts as he obsfucates his role. Is voting out the crooked politicians that pass laws infringing our rights. Rather than SCOTUS actually fulfilling its role and ruling solely on the Constitutional or UnConstitutionality of laws.

Which raises another problem. Having to do with nature of non productive self serving bums who sell their votes for FREE S**t!. How do you vote the crooks out? When the crooks are using OUR MONEY to buy the votes they use to sustain their political careers, and further their agendas. With SCOTUS now acting as a shield for their progressive actions.

We can't do much about SCOTUS. We don't directly or indirectly elect those old farts. Out best bet is to ensure a Republican candidate takes the White House. But, wait... Here in California, our votes don't matter, as you well know. We didn't even have a decent Republican to run for the Governor's office.

When they suspend or cancel elections for "national security" or "public safety" reasons....

                When they start burning books....
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

The government does not come knocking at your door. It comes knocking down your door.

In addition we are only one Justice away from losing most, if not all, of our second amendment protection. If Hillary is elected our 2A rights will be gone before she leaves office. ☹️

Rural areas and pro freedom states would first go the route that CA did with marijuana. Tell the Feds no, ignore the laws, and let people do what they want. If the Fed's tried to go after guns and gun owners in rural states and counties after that, they would have to take on the local Sheriff. The local Sheriff would have a lot of new deputies and you would see it turn violent if the Feds don't back off. I think that is how this plays out.

I am the last person to want to see this turn violent. However, the divide between our nation on this front between the citizens of rural Idaho and downtown D.C. leaves me worried. I am concerned that we are headed toward some serious poo poo.

Must be getting close to that point for some at least.
Which will of course "justify" the elimination of what's left of our rights.

The Political /Judicial system is supposed to be about checks and balances .Unfortunately the Balances don't care because of whoever pocket they are in . It's a sad fact when the simple fact that the people who run this Country b3 live that the words keep and bear arms means anything other than it means . The writers of the Construction where the smartest men in History knowing that the words they wrote would stand for all time . They knew of advancments in technology. How many of those men where inventors . They wrote it in layman's terms of the time not lawyer speak . And anyone who tries to convince you that keep and bears arms means anything other than just what those four words means has an agenda. It Dosnt say in the home or locked up all the time unloaded or using tools to load . KEEP AND BEAR ARMS and any Judge who would convict someone on the fact of concealed Carry is a total pos and shouldn't be a judge . Because before all of the other b.s. The Constitution is the laws of the land . Which they took an oath to uphold .

When all else fails all anyone has left is Jefferson's helpful gardening tip on how to properly water the tree of liberty. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

It makes me sick to think of how The Constitution is disregarded by our "leaders". Any citizen had the ability to have arms that were essentially equal to what the government or military used, yet it was still important for them ensure that the right not be infringed upon when they made the 2A. Now, we have gun-free zones. Are these also Constitution free zones?

Where I live, there is a petition that is gathering signatures to declare the county a Constitution Protection Zone. They're working with County Sheriff and District Attorney to create specific protocols for officials to protect the constitutional rights of our citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

This movement is in response to Obama signing the 2012 NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act). Sections 1021 and 1022 authorize the indefinite military detention, without charge or trial, of anyone, including American citizens, on U.S. soil.

I hope it gets enough support to pass and that other counties are getting on board.
