"...which from their verbosity, their endless tautologies, their involutions of case within case, and parenthesis within parenthesis, and their multiplied efforts at certainty by saids and aforesaids, by ors and by ands, to make them more plain, do really render them more perplexed and incomprehensible, not only to common readers, but to lawyers themselves. Every time I open the American Rifleman I see a parade of ads for schlock, boogered-up, gaudily engraved firearms, from M1911s to Garands and M1 Carbines to who-knows-what new production guns. The sellers always have these highfalutin' names like "The Frankfurt Mint" and "The Bradley Exchange" (names changed to protect... well... me). They must attract a lot of suckers because full-page, full-color ads don't come cheap.

This is the male equivalent of females going ga-ga for those awful "Thomas Kincade" paintings. Or at an even lower-class level of an earlier time, "Beanie Babies."
      That.

I had an uncle buy one, I was with with him when he picked it up.

Cheap looking plating over unpolished, machined steel as produced by Mossberg. The busy artwork at least camouflages part of it.

From 10 feet away it looks bad. He intended to hang it on display, until he unboxed it.

Met and talked to a lot of Freemasons. All good people.

My dad even works on a Stanford organization with a Freemason/Templar. They do great work.

And if I had the excess money, I'd buy that rifle.

I always wondered why a lot of Masonic Lodges don't have windows. It is sort of like FighterPolit's basement in there? I've heard stories about some of the rituals...

The ones I recall were cabbage patch dolls. My sisters were enamored with them. My mom liked the beanie babies and the cabbage patch.
            Sorry, not sorry.

If it was a Secret Society, it would be underground. We plaster our symbols over all of our buildings, proudly put them on our cars and trucks, wear rings etc.

Society with Secrets is a better answer.

I haven't been active in Lodge for YEARS, but I will defend my Brothers tooth and nail. We do nothing but GOOD. Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.

The Freemasons fought against the nefarious plans of the Templars, with the help of the Assassins, to help found this country. They even made a completely fact based historical video game about it.
