    Unique Idea..

Thought of this the other day when I was recycling a small refrigerator,
A pistol rack made from the small vinyl coated shelf. Coated covers on the cut ends.

Very cool for shooting trips to BLM land when we've got 20+ pistols. Thanks for the idea.

          Cheapskate!

Most people pay $30+ for that.

          Good job!

What did you use to cover the cut ends?

They sell those little rubber coated covers a lot of hardware stores in the screws and bolts section I think they're meant to cover the ends of bolts for safety.

                I really like the idea.

I would just make sure there's no rust on any any of the metal that's peeking through the old original plastic coating , if you're recycling one from an old refrigerator.

At the costa mesa gun show next to the calguns booth there's a guy who makes something like this for pistols at a decent price....

Nutnfancy could sell that for $200

thanks for sharing your project. i have repurposed many things and frequently my repurpose for something works out as good or better than the original/factory intended purpose for said piece.

good quality Klein cutting pliers could easily snip off the ends and unwanted excess. i would treat the exposed metal after snipping and then cap the ends.
