    Thanks guys ordered today.

I thought Id try this here since there seems to be much more traffic. please move or delete if needed.

Hi, I recently bought my dad a S&W M327 .357 Magnum for a CCW pistol. He prefers revolvers and specifically the .357 round. Id like to get him a very nice IWB holster for Xmas but I am having a hell of a time finding them for this model. Maybe some of the wheel gun guys, which I am not can help me out. I believe it is a N? frame if that helps. Thank you for any input.

Firstly I'd just like to say that if he fires more than a cylinder out of that puppy at a time, he's more of a man than I'll ever be!

Did a quick search, found a coupla references for holsters in that oddball configuration, but they're semi-custom jobs with minimum 4 week lead times, so probably not Christmasable. Milt Sparks had one guy's order for seven weeks before they told him he needed to send them the gun to fit the holster. I'm guessing that anybody else you can find willing to make one will also require the gun and a long wait. Part of the cost of not following the crowd.

From the Smith & Wesson Forum, check out post #16.

Almost 100% that it's an N frame. The L frames are not beefy enough for a cylinder of that size. Awesome revolver by the way.

Thanks MrO! I will check them out right away. Im not opposed to giving a IOU and waiting a bit. Also its really not as bad as you would think. It's defiantly not a full size 9MM but its manageable. He really likes it.

        Dokbrick, Noted thank you.

Doesn't s&w sell holsters for that line?

Simply Rugged makes a couple really nice holsters and they list the 2" M327. They are custom, so a bit expensive, but I've seen a couple of their pancake holsters and they are beautiful.

Simply Rugged Holsters crafts premium American-made leather holsters, belts, cartridge carriers, built for concealed carry and everyday use.

N frame isn't going to be too comfortable in IWB carry. I'd recommend a high-ride pancake or similar.

Thanks Barbarosa, at a quick glance I really like what I see on their site. I too was concerned about that size frame IWB. The holster I was looking at on their site is convertible, thats kinda cool.

I would stick it into a pocket holster, then into my front pocket.
Lots of pocket holsters to choose from for small revolvers.

I already ordered and received a nice holster for him. This pistol would fit in my pocket maybe but definitely not my pops. It's really not a small revolver at all. Thanks for the link though.
