351 Mass Shootings

I keep hearing that there's been 351 mass shootings in 2015. The term is defined by Motherjones as "4 or more shootings without a cooling off". It's not a useful statistic for gun debates, since it doesn't say weather or not someone with a gun stopped the bad guy. The number also manipulates words. Normally a mass shooting ends in death, this 351 number is talking about any shooting regardless of if someone died. It's really bugging me since using this term, like using the term assault weapon, is manipulative. Someone doesn't want us to have guns, so they're using the ignorance of the general public to their advantage.

they keep saying that mass shooting are on the rise by using that state without stating that there is no other value such as this over the years to compare it to. if we had number from the 1980's when murder rates were at an all time high i would think the mass shooting numbers would dwarf these new numbers.

it's like measuring the number of guns sold on black friday in 2015 vs the number sold on black friday in 1982 and saying see look how many more guns were sold without having any data from 1982.

FBI stats I believe define a mass shooting as four or more shot and killed.

Yeah the Bloomberg shell groups have been feeding this stuff to the MSM and pawning it off like it is legit, non-biased research, when in fact it is nothing more than an attempt to control the narrative.

They will include the final shoot out where the 2 terrorists ended up dead and there were two officers injuries. (One with a leg wound and the other with undetermined injuries.

I read they are also including shooter in the numbers now also, anything to drive up the numbers and spread fear.

No, most people are stupid. I had a fight over this on FB last night. I pointed out how ridiculous those numbers are, and also provided a link to a story of how they define a mass shooting. The sheep did not want to hear it.
